Kayti VanMatre

Samantha “Kayti” VanMatre, 38, of New Castle, Indiana, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Kayti was a bingo aficionado and could regularly be found at the bingo hall. She also greatly enjoyed listening to country music, attending festivals, and going to new places.

Kayti is survived by her daughter, Maddi Fowler; mother, Dana Denecke; father, Kurt (Liz) VanMatre; brother, Tyler (Krista) VanMatre; and grandmother, Dorothy Byers.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Kay Byers; paternal grandparents, Jim and Judy VanMatre; and uncles Dennis and Dean Byers.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 10th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at  Elks Bingo (1900 A Ave, New Castle, IN 47362)
