NEW CASTLE - Kathy L. Cole, 58, of New Castle, Indiana passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at IU Heath in Indianapolis, Indiana. A daughter of the late Raymond and Kathyrn (Cameron) McNew, Kathy was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 13, 1956. She graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School with the class of 1976 and worked as a CNA for over 30 years, most recently at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. Kathy married Dale Cole on March 3, 1979 at Raleigh Christian Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #463 in Lewisville, Indiana. In her leisure, she enjoyed attending garage sales and flea markets, gardening, growing flowers, and canning. Survivors include her husband; sons, Brian Eugene (Alisha) Cole and Daniel Floyd Cole all of New Castle; grandson, Aiden Eugene Cole; siblings, Barbara Ann (Michael) Marshall of Raleigh, Michael Allen McNew of Connersville, Steven Keith (Nancy) McNew of Straughn; several nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dennis Eugene McNew; sister, Mary Jane Miller. Family and friends may gather from 4:00 until the time of Eastern Star Service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville.
