DUBLIN- M. Kathleen Puckett Raines, 89, passed away at her home in Dublin on Sunday morning September 6, 2009. A daughter of the late Jesse H. and Augusta M. Hoag Stinson, Kathleen was born in Huntington County, Indiana on January 8, 1920. She graduated from New Castle High School with the class of 1937. Kathleen had worked for Leakey's Butcher Shop, north of Straughn, and for Rihm's Grocery and Cutshaw's Market in Cambridge City and Miller's IGA in Hagerstown. A loving mother and grandmother, Kathleen loved cooking and baking, watching I.U. basketball, Nascar and Sprint Car racing and crocheting. She has made her home in Dublin for the past 22 years. Survivors include 2 children- John (Michelle) Puckett of Dublin, Janice (Bill) Longnecker of Milton; daughter inlaw- Dolores Puckett of Dublin; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister- Jane Reece of New Castle. Kathleen was preceded in death by her 1st husband of 27 years- Howard W. Puckett on Oct. 13, 1964; 2nd husband of 31 years- Willie H. "Spike" Raines on April 19, 2007; son- Ray Allen "Bud" Puckett on Nov. 7, 1983; 2 sisters- Anna Drucilla Teague and Martha Shafer. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday September 10, 2009 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at the New Lisbon Cemetery.
