Obituary

DUBLIN- Judith Ann "Judy" Rogers, 72, passed away on Saturday December 15, 2012 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. A daugter of the late Winifred M. and Marie Edna (Blackburn) Hubbard, Judy was born in Bedford, Indiana on August 16, 1940. Judy was raised in North Vernon and attended school there until 10th grade then graduated from Vernon High School with the class of 1958. She attended Elkhart College for 1 year and then became certified as a lab technician. Judy worked as a lab technician for several physicians, healthcare labs and hospitals including Community Hospital in Indianapolis, Ball Hospital in Muncie and Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Judy and her husband Jack were owner-operators of Posey Oak Furniture Store and Coast to Coast Hardware in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Judy and Jack moved to the Dublin community in 2001. Judy was an avid reader and bowler and in her spare time she enjoyed spending time outdoors- gardening, bird watching, boating, water skiing, swimming and camping. She and her husband spent the winter months in Florida where she was a member of the Red Hat Society in Ruskin. She was also a member of the Tri Kappa Sororiety in Greenfield the Model A Car Club and former member of the Mt. Vernon Chamber od Commerce. Judy attended the Cambridge City Christian Church. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Jack Rogers. They were married in North Vernon on February 18, 1960. 1 daughter, Julayne (Brad) Miller of New Harmony; 1 grandson, Levi Miller; 2 brothers, Anthony "Tony" Hubbard of Indianapolis and Jon Hubbard of Anderson, S. Carolina. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Danny Berry will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday December 18 at the funeral home.
