NEW CASTLE - Jowana Gail Abrams, 76, passed away Wednesday evening July 11, 2018 at The Waters of New Castle after an extended illness. A daughter of the late Carl Monroe and Virginia (King) Bennett, Jowana was born in New Castle, Indiana on July 25, 1941. She was a lifelong resident of Henry County and graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School with the class of 1958. Jowana was a homemaker and dependable babysitter for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Malcolm "Mike" Abrams, whom she married in Chesterfield, Indiana on February 21, 1959. 4 children, Mike (Sandi) Abrams, Carla (Dan) Bennett, Cristi (Tony) Guffey and Mark (Trish) Abrams; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 5 siblings, Jeannine Bennett, Dan Bennett, Scott Bennett, Carletta Wright and Don Bennett.

Jowana was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Bennett.
