Joseph Leslie Swigart, 67, passed away at his home in New Castle, Indiana on June 6, 2026.  One of four sons born to the late Joseph Leroy and Sonya Inez (Harris) Swigart, Joe was born in Richmond, Indiana on August 10, 1958.  Formally of Cambridge City, he was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1976.  Following high school, Joe enlisted in the United States Army, served two tours in Iraq during the Iraq War and was honorably discharged after eighteen years of service.  Joe liked driving his Jeep, traveling, fishing and going to auctions.

Survivors include 2 children, Katrina and Joseph Swigart; 2 step children, Josh and Sara; 2 brothers, Jay and Jim Swigart; special friend, Denise Traylor; nieces and nephews.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Alex Swigart; 1 brother, Jon Swigart.

Following cremation, a celebration of Joe's life will be held at the convenience of the family.
