Obituary

Cambrige City- Joseph Leslie Mustard, 86 passed away on Sunday November 15, 2009 at Regency Place in Greenfield, Indiana after an extended illness. Joseph was born in Cambridge City, Indiana on May 21, 1923. He graduated from Centerville High School and attended Indiana Uneversity East in Richmond. Joseph was a proud of his service with the Indiana National Guard and was a former member of St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle and member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Richmond. Formerly of Spiceland, Joseph retired from Modern Fold Corporation in New Castle in 1996 after 25 years of serv ice. His occupation in sound testing and design enabled him to travel all over the world. Survivors include his daughter and son inlaw, Susan and Arlen McBride of Lewisville; 3 grandchildren, Morgan (Preston) Butler of Kaiserslautern, Germany, Haley Neal and Joseph McBride both of Indianapolis; 5 great grandchildren, Justin, Blake and Lane Neal, Preston Joseph "Little PJ" and Alexandra Butler; 4 brothers, Vernaon, Dalla and Robin Mustard of Michigan and George Usher of Lafayette; neices and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Mustard; mother, Mabel (Bertram) Mustard Usher; his wife, the former Emma B. Heaston on March 16, 1989. They were married in Jacksonburg, Indiana on June 1, 1945; infant son, Timothy in November of 1947; brother, Lloyd Usher on October 6, 2005. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till the time of services at noon on Saturday November 21, 2009 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial with Military Honors provided by the Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post 169 of Cambridge City will follow at Bryan Cemetery, south of Centerville on Willow Grove Road. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the donors favorite charity.
