CONNERSVILLE- Jonathan Elisha Russell, 28, of Connersville, passed away Sunday morning April 17, 2016 at his home. Jonathan was born in Richmond, Indiana on February 9, 1988. He grew up in Milton and the Western Wayne community and moved to Connersville three years ago. He was a member of the Lincoln High School graduating class of 2006. Jonathan played basketball and baseball while in school and still enjoyed a good game of softball. Survivors include his dad, Ronnie Russell of Milton; his mom, Brenda Russell of Cambridge City, 1 sister, Kendra Russell of Milton; 2 children, Rori Marie Stewart and Brenden Elisha Russell; paternal grandmother, Zella Russell of Milton; maternal step grandfather, Roger Myers of Shipshewana; aunts and uncles, Roy and Debbie Tipton of Connersville, Brian and Ronda Smith of Charlottesville, Vicky and Tony Alexander of Connersville, Jeannie and Joe Lightfield of Cambridge City, Christina Myers of New Castle and Renee Elliott of Richmond; several cousins; his girlfriend and her son, Ashley and Ryder Tipton Jonathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold J. Russell; maternal grandparents, Patricia A. Myers and Johnny Smith; 1 uncle, Kevin Smith. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Sunday April 24, 2016 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastors Shawn Tipton, Jeramie Horn and Steve Cox will officiate. A luncheon will follow at the Dublin Gospel Mission Church.
