CONNERSVILLE- John Euel Frye, 87, passed away Sunday evening December 13, 2015 at Lincoln Centers East in Connersville, Indiana. A son of the late Lansford Herman and Sarah Elizabeth (Napier) Frye, John was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 11, 1928. John grew up on a farm and served his country from 1946 ~ 1950 as a member of United States Army Air Corps stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He retired from D & M in Connersville where he worked as an inspector. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Pamela Simmermeyer of Connersville and Constance Alsup of Richmond; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Noel Mays, Gregory James Simmermeyer, Lance Tyler and Lindsey Blake Alsup; 1 brother, Lansford H. Frye Jr. of Greensburg; nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by2 sisters, Gertie Rains and Goldie York; 2 brothers, Silas and Edgar Frye. Honoring John's wishes, private interment will be made at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
