CAMBRIDGE CITY- Joseph E. "Joe" Gray, 68, passed away at his home in rural Cambridge City on Tuesday morning January 13, 2015. A son of the late Elmer and Marcella (Hart) Gray, Joe was born in New Castle, Indiana on January 15, 1946. He was a graduate of Mooreland High School with the class of 1964 and retired from DANA Corp., Hagerstown Distribution Center, in 1994 after 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 24 years the former Fran Burns. They were married at the Bentonville Christian Church on June 30, 1990. 4 sons, Brent Gray of Chandler, Bryon Pierce of Yulee, FL, Rob Pierce of Bentonville and Jim Cox of Richfield, OH; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Elmer "Junior" Gray of Hagerstown, Ruby Sexton of New Castle, Hank Gray of Mt. Summit and Lanie Lamb of Clearwater, FL.; several nieces and nephews. Joe was also preceded in death by 3 siblings, Bobbie Allen, Carolyn Myers and Bud Gray. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday January 17, 2015 at the Bentonville Cemetery. The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
