CONNERSVILLE-  Carroll Max "Joe" Drake Jr., 61, passed away Wednesday afternoon April 24, 2019 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.  Joe was born in New Castle, Indiana on September 5, 1957.  He was raised in the Dublin area and attended Tri High School.  Joe was employed at M.E.G. in Cambridge City and also worked as a carpet installer.  He has made his home in Connersville the past 40 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Juscinda Jean Houze of Connersville; 3 grandchildren, Drake Matthew Kidd, Ciara Lynn and Madison Paige Houze; 3 siblings, Ricky L. Drake of Connersville, Alvona Miller of Georgia Deborah Strahl of Greenfield and Deanna Austin of Ohio; nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Carrol Drake Sr.; mother, Helen M. (Robinson) Austin; sister, Marjorie Merkamp.
