DUBLIN- Joanne Wallen, 76, passed away at her home in Dublin on Monday morning May 22, 2023. Joanne was born in Greensboro, Henry County, Indiana on August 26, 1946.  She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended I.U. East.  Joanne has lived in Dublin since 1960 and retired in 2009 from the Richmond State Hospital after 23 years as a Transitional Care Specialist.  She was also a Tupperware Representative and member of the "Do-Gooders Club".  Joanne enjoyed her canine companions and loved to listen to her grandson, Brian, play music.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Gene Wallen.  They were married in Lewisville, Indiana on June 23, 1962; son, Brian (Denise) Wallen; grandson, Brian Wallen II; granddaughter, Brandy Crespi; 2 great grandchildren; 5 siblings, Marjorie White, Mona Dennison, Bruce, Steve and Jerry Dunn.

Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Wallen on March 10, 2022; father, Joseph B. Dunn; mother, Belva (Toler) Luff; infant brother, Larry Dunn.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.  A private burial will be at the convenience of the family in South Lawn Cemetery, Dublin.
