DUBLIN- James C. "Jim" Lockwood, 78, formerly of Dublin, passed away on Monday March 28, 2016 in the emergency room at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. A son of the late Cauley A. and Goldie M. (Jamison) Lockwood, Jim was born at home in Dublin, Indiana on July 15, 1937. He was raised in Dublin and made his home here until he moved to Richmond in 1968. He was inducted into the United States Air Force on August 4, 1954 and proudly served his country until he received an honorable discharge on February 3, 1958. Jim worked as a painter at Wayne Works in Richmond until his retirement. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. Survivors include 5 children, Curtis (Mary) Lockwood of Virginia Beach, VA, Becky (Rick) Sapp of Richmond, Janelle (Ahmet) Altin of Richmond, Robert (Vicky) Olinger of New Castle and Roberta Olinger-Johnson of Richmond; grandchildren, Suzy, Kelli and Cauley Lockwood, Adam (Caroline) Young; great grandchildren, Ella and Jace Lockwood, Joan Young. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Joan S. (Olinger) Lockwood on January 15, 2006. They were married in Whitewater, Indiana on July 7, 1968.; 1 son, Kevin Boyce on July 14, 2006. Following cremation, Jim will be honored with a private military service. Interment will be at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
