MILTON- Jessie Ann Crabtree, 78, passed away Sunday morning July 24, 2016 at her home in Milton, Indiana. A daughter of the late Leland and Ruth (Sumpter) Troxell, Jessie was born in Monticello, Kentucky on April 9, 1938. She and her husband Walter, moved to the Milton community 41 years ago. A homemaker, Jessie raised six children and was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. In her leisure, she enjoyed listening to country music, watching and feeding the birds, collecting lighthouses and windmills. She was a member of the Dublin Community Club. Survivors include 6 children, Virginia (Tony) Haler, Wesley (Debbie) Crabtree and Rick (Marcia) Crabtree all of Cambridge City, Rebecca Harris and Pam (Tom) Gregory both of Dublin and Sandra Elliott ( her special friend, Jeremy McCracken) of Milton; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Dickie Troxell of Lexington, KY, Jane Troxell of Greenfield and Delta "Dottie" Bishop of Bloomington; many special friends, nieces, nephews and extended family. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Crabtree Jr. on October 29, 2004. They were married in Monticello, Kentucky on September 11, 1953. 2 brothers, Ben and Tommy Troxell; 1 great granddaughter, Emily Grace Goldey. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday July 29, 2016 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at the West Side Cemetery in Milton. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday July 28th.
