CAMBRIDGE CITY- Jerome W. "Jerry" Gray, 69, of Cambridge City, passed away Thursday evening December 18, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. A son of the late Charles Aubrey and Mary C. (Usher) Gray, Jerome was born in New Castle, Indiana on August 30, 1945. Jerry lived his whole life in the Cambridge City community and graduated from Lincoln High School. He served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War while stationed in Germany. Jerry worked as a journeyman plumber for Bertsch & Company, NATCO and retired from Visteon in 2006. Survivors include his son, Brad A. (wife Rebekah) Gray of Winchester; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Meranda Gray; aunts, Edith Peckinpaugh of New Castle, Doris Patrick of Ann Arbor, MI and Beth Craig of Milwaukee, WI; several cousins and friends. Graveside services with military honors conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard and the Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post 169 will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday December 23rd at the Brick Cemetery south of Hagerstown. The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, P.O. Box 158- Dublin, IN 47335, has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
