MILTON- Jean Roberts, 91, passed away Saturday evening October 10, 2015 at Caroleton Manor in Connersville, Indiana. A daughter of the late Joe and Mae (Johnson) Thomas, Jean was born in Delta, Ohio on January 28, 1924. She had made her home in the Milton community since 1957. Jean had worked as an interior seamstress at Balance Line Casket in Cambridge City for several years. Jean was a member of the Western Avenue Baptist Church in Connersville and in her leisure she enjoyed crocheting afghans that she would donate to the Do Gooders Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include 3 children, Ruth (Steve) Moschel-Dick of Cambridge City, Tom Roberts and Nancy (Larry) Bowen both of Connersville; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert Thomas of Ft. Meyers, FL and Joe C. Thomas of Newport Richey, FL. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. Roberts on March 26, 1972. They were married in Jamestown, Kentucky on September 18, 1943. 1 son Jack Roberts; 1 daughter, Judy Meyer; a 15 year old grandson, Clayton Vickers and a stillborn grandson Matthew Vickers; 1sister, Geraldine Thomas; 1 brother, Harold Thomas. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the services at 1 p.m. on Wednesday October 14, 2015 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Bobby Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
