RICHMOND- Janet Irene Banning, 81, passed away early Saturday morning July 28, 2018 at her home in Richmond, Indiana. Janet was a daughter of the late William and Esther (Orebaugh) Rodgers, Janet was born in Liberty, Indiana on June 18, 1937. She was a graduate of Kitchel High School in Union County. Janet worked as a beautician and a reflexologist out of her home for many years. Survivors include 2 children, Dennis Banning of Richmond and Sandy (Dean) Butler of Cambridge City; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy Butler, Richard (Michele) Butler, Amber (Chris) Landis, Elizabeth (Adam) Milton, and Angel (Jerry) Powell; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Janet was preceded in death by an infant twin sister, Janice and 3 brothers. Janet's family will honor her preference for no formal services. In lieu of flowers, Janet asked that friends and family plant an herb or flower in their own garden in remembrance of her.
