IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Price
February 9, 1943 – July 29, 2025
James Clinton Price, 82, of Norton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the early morning
hours of July 29, 2025, with his family lovingly by his side after an extended illness.
Born on February 9, 1943 in Hamilton, Ohio, to Vernon and Ula Price, James grew up in a close-knit family
and graduated from Brookville High School in 1961. He went on to study at the
University of Louisville, where he briefly played football, demonstrating the strength and
dedication that would characterize his entire life.
James was a skilled machinist and proudly retired from Dana Corporation after 25 years
of service. He was known for his tireless work ethic and steadfast commitment to his
family. A devoted husband and loving father, James was present in his children's lives
and taught them the value of perseverance and integrity through both word and deed.
Outside of work, James found great joy in golf, often exclaiming "Boom!" with a well- placed shot. He was an avid sports fan and took delight in sharing that passion with his
children and grandchildren. Thoughtful and romantic, he loved surprising his wife with
roses, a simple but heartfelt gesture that spoke volumes about his devotion.
James is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Geneva (Price) Walker; his
brother, Charles Douglas Price; and his sister, Peggy (Price) Quante.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sandra (Deaton) Price; his children, Mari
(Larry) Schuman, Tony Price, Jason (Kimberly Tyler) Price, Dedra (Pat) Green, Clinton
(Jennifer) Price, and Jessica (Mika) Price; sisters, Joyce (James) Cox, Janet (Jack) Duncan, and Deborah Price; along with many grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply.
James will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and the unwavering
love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, and the memories
shared by all who knew him.
