Jack E.Wissler, 74, passed away Friday morning January 9,2009a His home in rural New Lisbon, Indiana. A son of the late Carl and Jeanette (Stigleman) Wissler, Jack was born in the house that he lived in on August 30, 1934. He graduated from the New Lisbon High School with the class of 1952. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged from active duty on May 30, 1960. Jack retired from U.S. Air, where he worked in manaement, after 37 years of service. He was a50 year master polit, his memberships include: a 50 year member of the New Castle Masonic Lodge #91 F & AM, the New Castle Eagles Lodge and the New Lisbon Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Sharon Laughlin, whom he married on Friday 10, 2003 in Melbourne Beach, Florida. 2 daughters. Kathy Wasson of Stuart, Florida and Sandy Smith of Centerville; 1 son, Chris Wissler of Spiceland; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Carolyn Kroger of Wabash; 3 step-daughters' Kimberly (husband Jim) Nicholson of New Castle, Kristin (husband Martin) Cless of Evenston, Illinois and Jule (husband John) Peake of Melbourne Beach, Florida; 7 step-grandchildren; 5 nieces. A sister, Mary Anna Hagner also preceded Jack in death. Following cremation, visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of a Momerial Service at 12 noon on Tuesday January 13, 2008 at the New Lisbon Christian Church. Rev. Marl Lomison will officate.
