Obituary

HAGERSTOWN- Jack Lee Warmoth, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Hagerstown on Thursday evening December 30, 2010 while surrounded by his family. A son of the late Vern and Luva (Brown) Warmoth, Jack was born in New Castle, Indiana on October 9, 1931. Formerly of New Castle, Jack graduated from High School there with the class of 1951. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jack has made his home in the Hagerstown community for the past 32 years. He retired from DANA Corporation in New Castle where he worked in the foundry. He was a member of the William O. Frazier American Legion Post 333 at Hagerstown and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. Survivors include his wife, the former Thelma Jo Anne Stillwell, whom he married at New Castle in 1951. 2 sons- Gill (Emily) and Guy Warmoth both of Hagerstown; 2 granddaughters- Meghan Warmoth of Indianapolis and Annie Warmoth of Hagerstown. Jack was preceded in death by 2 brothers- Earl and Charles Warmoth. Private funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday January 3, 2011. Interment with military honors provided by American Legion Post 333 where held at the Brick Cemetery of Hagerstown. The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
