Obituary

Jack Eugene Collins, 70, Hagerstown, Indiana, died Monday, October 5, 2026, at his home. Jack was born July 28, 1956, in Connersville, Indiana, to Zefphar and Jeanette (King) Collins, and was the middle child of the seven children born to them. He graduated from Connersville High School. On July 3, 1976, Jack married the former Marilynn Lee Pugh in Milton, In and they just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Jack previously worked at Hills Roses and retired from Manchester Industries in Hagerstown, Indiana. He attended the New Life Holiness Church in Hagerstown.

He enjoyed his place in Kentucky, playing the guitar which he just retired from in July after playing for 37 years. Besides his wife, Marilynn, survivors include his 2 children Misty Jolene (Fred) Gosser and Christopher Douglas Collins, 2 Granddaughters Laney Jo Adams and Abigail Jolene Adams, one sister Joy Burelison, his Father-in-law Mitchell Pugh and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, sisters Dian Eversole, Janice Farmer, Brenda Hampton and brothers Robert Colliins and Jeff Collins, his Mother-in-Law Hazel Pugh, nephew Terry Hampton and niece Tara Miller, and great-nephew Joshua Moore.

Visitation for Jack will be Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Funeral services will take place Friday, October 9th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at West Side Cemetery in Milton, Indiana.
