Richmond- Helen Jean Williamson, 75, passed away Sunday afternoon February 19, 2017 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville, Indiana. A daughter of the late Elmer and June (Jenkins) Williamson, Helen was born in Richmond, Indiana on July 16, 1941. Helen grew up in the Lewisville community and graduated from Lewisville High School with the class of 1959. She attended Indiana Business College. Helen lived most of her working life in Richmond while employed by the Richmond Palladium Item as the newspaper's Head Librarian. She retired from there after 35 years of service. Following retirement she returned to work for two years at the Richmond State Hospital and moved back home to Lewisville in 2003. She was a member of the Lewisville Presbyterian Church. Survivors include 3 siblings, Ted Williamson of Riverdale, GA, Becky (Marvin) Railsback of Richmond and Mary Ann (Tony) Hickman of Lewisville; nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Brown on March 20, 2009 and a brother, Bill Williamson on November 4, 2003 Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Thursday February 23, 2017 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Peter Zinn of the Lewisville Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery.
