CAMBRIDGE CITY- Grace A. Haning, 92, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Vikki on Saturday morning December 12, 2015. A daughter of the late Louis A. and Clara Mae (Wise) Douglas, Grace was born in Richmond, Indiana on September 25, 1923. She married the late Howard H. Haning in Union City, Ohio on May 5, 1947. She was a devoted wife and loving mother of six children. Grace and her husband had lived in Fort Meyers, Florida for 18 years before returning to Cambridge City in 1996. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Richmond. Survivors include 6 children, Johnnie Reece, Tommie Reece, Sharyon Sherman, Victoria Foster, James H. Haning and Timothy H. Haning; 35 grandchildren; several great and great - great grandchildren; 1 sister, Deloris Coning of Richmond Grace was preceded in death by her husband on June 14, 2005; 1 great granddaughter, Heather; 3 sisters; 1 brother Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday December 19, 2015 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1600 Chester Blvd. - Richmond, IN 47374. Rev. Russ Powell will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. The family has entrusted Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home with the arrangements.
