Straughn: Georgia Irene Marshall, 79 of Straughn,IN passed away Friday July 23, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on December 10, 1930 in Loudon County, TN, the daugher of the late James Joseph & Mary Margaret( Munsey ) Lynn bryant. On May 16, 1951 in Cambridge City she married Sherman K. "Joe" Marshall whom preceds her in death. Irene had a special love for her family, poetry, gardening, flowers, birds and sewing and was a true friend to everyone. She worked for the State Hospital for 10 years and Lee Cylinders for 15 years. Was a member of the Lewisville Eastern Star and the womens fellowship of the Straughn Community Chapel. Surviving relatives include; 4 daughters; Sharon K. Mullen (Tony) of Cambridge City, Vickie A Witham (Gary) of Spiceland, Marina J. Hartwig (Jeff) of Shirley and Amy S Grubbs (Derek) of New Castle, 4 sons; Daniel L Marshall (Diana) of TN, David B. Marshall (Willa) of Spiceland, Douglas E. Marshall of Straughn and Master Gunnery Sergeant Kent E. Marshall (Cathie) of Hubert, N. Carolina, 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren , 2 sisters; Naomi Doty of Cambridge City and Rose Brown (Dale) of Dunkirk, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by; parents, step-dad, Kellie Bryant, 2 sisters, Maxine Lynn (10 years old), Mary Smith, infant brother, Buddy Joe Lynn, brother James Lynn, 3 grandchildren and son-in-law, Kenneth Mullen, To celabrate her life Viewing will be Tuesday July 27, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin ,with service to be on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. With burial to follow at the Riverside cemetery in Cambridge City. Grandson, Joseph L. Marshall wil officate the service.
