LEWISVILLE- Freeda J. Hill, 87, passed away on Friday evening August 23, 2013 at Arbor Trace in Richmond, Indiana. A daughter of the late Lewis Edward and Hope Katherine (Ellingwood) Idlewine, Freeda was born in Decatur County, Indiana on April 30, 1926. Freeda was raised in the Lewisville community and graduated from high school there with the class of 1944. Following high school she graduated from Beauty College and worked as a beautician in Lewisville and also at the Lewisville Hotel. She served as a Girl Scout Leader for 10 years. Freeda and her husband, George Arthur Hill moved from Lewisville to Richmond in 1988. They were married in Lewisville on October 6, 1946. In her leisure she enjoyed doing cross stitch Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Phyllis and Bill Spengler of Muskegon, MI; her "assistant daughter", Enid Stafford of Richmond; 4 nieces, Betty Milliner of New Castle, Jean Ridder and Jennifer Baugh both of Greensburg and Carol Splete of Bidwell, OH. Freeda was preceded in death by her husband on December 1, 1999; 4 sisters, Thelma Jordan, Ruth Poer, Beulah Beach and Gladys Snyder; 2 brothers, Little Dwight and Paul Idlewine. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday August 28, 2013 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Arthur Whitaker will officiate. Burial will follow at the Earlham Cemetery.
