CAMBRIDGE CITY - Frank D. Gromer of Cambridge City passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Hickory Creek Nursing Facility in Connersville. Frank was born in Vincennes, Indiana on February 26, 1933 to Roy and Elvia (Morris) Gromer. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1952 and served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956. On July 1, 1961 he married the former Lorena Ann Rogers at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City. Frank and Lorena have lived in Cambridge City for over fifty years. He retired from Kemper Brothers in Richmond after twenty-nine years of service. Frank enjoyed watching sports and was a coach for little league baseball which won several championships. Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill (Debbie) Gromer of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Ian Gromer and Zach (Katrena) Gromer, both of Greenwood; and a great-grandson, Hayden Rhys. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church, Cambridge City with Father Joe Rauttenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Cambridge City. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
