CENTERVILLE- Florence Verna Smith, 55, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 18th 2018 at Reid Healthcare in Richmond. A daughter of the late Butler Smith and Zella (Sparks) Kuhn, Florence was born on May 23, 1963 in Connersville. A lifelong member of the Wayne and Fayette County communities, she graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1981. Florence was the Assistant General Manager and a cook at the Sunshine Café in Richmond. In her free time Florence enjoyed cooking and picking on her grandkids.

Florence is survived by two sons, Nathan Gettinger of Centerville and Daniel Hobbs; six grandchildren; three brothers, Keith and Vincent Smith of Indianapolis and Kenny Smith of Lafayette; and one sister, Renae Esposito of Venice, Florida.

She is preceded in death one sister, Nadine Stansfield.

No public services are planned at this time. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
