.Lewisville: Emory C. Beam Jr. 83, of Lewisville, passed away Thursday March 25, 2010 at Henry County Hospital. He was born on January 27, 1927 in Rush County, IN, the son of the late Emory C. and Hazel O. (Rider) Beam Sr. On May 11, 1946 in New Castle, IN Emory married Patricia Ann Alexander whom preceds him in death. Emory was a graduate from Lewisville High School and attended Ball State University. He then served his country in the U.S. Army Field Artillary Unit durning World War II. Emory retired from the Chrysler corporation in November of 1989 as an Industrial Engineer. He was a lifetime member of the Lewisville Presbyterian Church and the past president of the Lewisville Lyons Club and owned and operated Beams Reality. Emory loved working with stained glass and spending time with his family, Surviving relatives include: 3 sons; Stephen M. (Sue) Beam of Lafayette, Michael E. (Holly) Beam of Michigan and Brian D. (Tammy) Beam of New Castle, daughter Cynthia G. Beam of Columbus, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grand children, 3 sisters; Eileen Graham of New Castle, Mildred (Rex) Brooks of New Castle and Ruth Knotts of Knightstown, a very special friend Jutta Fay McDonald and several neices and nephews. Preceded in death by, parents and wife Patricia Beam (November 27, 1988) Services will be on Monday March 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lewisville Presbyterian Church, with burial to follow in the Lewisville Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday March 28, 2010 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Lewisville.
