Obituary

CONNERSVILLE - Emmaline Farley James, 78, died July 23, 2012 at the Evergreen & Wellspring Senior Community in Cincinnati, Ohio. Emmaline was born November 23, 1933 in Rushville, Indiana. She lived most of her life in Connersville, where she worked at the Ford Motor Company and served as union steward before retiring from Visteon Automotive Systems in 1998. Emmaline was an avid collector of baseball cards, stamps, and coins and was best known for her love of cats and her generosity to friends and family. Emmaline was preceded in death by her son William R. James, Jr. and ex-husband William R. James; parents, Frank Farley and Mary Rose Farley; sisters Della Koohns and Bertha Wubker of Beardstown, Illinois; and brothers Frank Young of Mason, Ohio and Roy (Coke) Farley. Survivors include her children Charles E. James, Mary Jo Brokering, Jane Haniefy, and Frank James; sister Ada Farley; brothers William Farley and Robert Farley; grandchildren Bobbi Jo Ware, Chris Collins, Amanda Faulk, Jeremy Collins, Rodney Holmes, Emily Tipton, and Elizabeth Combs; and twelve great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Hopewell Cemetery in Rush County. Friends and relatives are invited to a reception at the John H. Miller Community Center in Roberts Park, Connersville, IN following the memorial service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Emmaline F. James to the Fayette County Humane Society at 704 S County Road 550 W, Connersville, IN 47331.
