CENTERVILLE - Elsie Lorine Frampton Newman, 93, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Ambassador Healthcare Center in Centerville. She was born July 5, 1919 in New Castle to John and Bessie Frampton and lived most of her life in Henry County. Elsie was married to George P. C. Newman who passed away in 1988. She was employed at Henry County Hospital before working at Nickerson Farms for over sixteen years. Elsie was a member of the New Castle Church of Christ, Henry County Chorus, and in 1961 she joined the Ce De Grow Home Ec Club. Survivors include her children, Tim Newman and Larry Newman; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther Waltz of Hagerstown; and a brother, James Frampton of Ohio. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter Polly Miller; a brother, Paul Frampton; two sisters, Ruth Eads and Lois Woods; and two grandchildren, Tommy Newman and Toni Newman Spicer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Phil Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, New Castle. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
