LEWISVILLE - Eddie J. Smith, 60, passed away at his home in Lewisville on Wednesday evening August 9, 2017. He was born in Anderson, Indiana on March 27, 1957. Eddie was raised in the Anderson community and graduated from Anderson High School with the class of 1976. Eddie lived a life of service, was described by many as being gifted with helping hands, and always had time to help those who were in need. He was happiest when he was building. Eddie is survived by his parents, Paul J. and Gail L. (Joy) Smith of Anderson; three children, Kira Smith of Daleville; Kyler Smith and Kevin Dwenger of New Castle; four grandchildren, Kayla, Katy, Gunner, and Kendra; one sister, Shelly Swain of Richmond; one brother, Greg Smith of Colorado; nieces and nephews, Parker and Chandler Swain of Richmond, Kylie Joy Smith and Caleb Smith of Colorado. Eddie was preceded in death by his infant son, Klayton Smith in July 29th, 1994.
