LEWSVILLE - Eddie William Freestone, 64, of Lewisville passed away while surrounded by his family at his home on Thursday, August 14, 2014. He was born in Anderson, Indiana on August 6, 1950 to Eddie and June (Hancock) Freestone. He graduated from Anderson High School with the class of 1969 and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Eddie married the former Karen Fairchild on August 8, 1998 in Lewisville. Eddie recently retired from the Henry County EMS and has served on the Lewisville Fire Department since 1994. He was a HAM Radio Operator and enjoyed computers, electronics and spending time with his family. Eddie was a member of the Knghtstown American Legion Post 152. Survivors include his mother; wife; children, Michelle (Mike) Perea of California, Jennifer (Mike) Johnson of Anderson, Joey (Keri) Cunningham of Spiceland and Angelleen (Rusty) Collins of Milton; ten grandchildren; brother, Russell (Jeannie) Freestone of Huntington, Indiana; mother-in-law, Martha Fairchild of Spiceland; brother and sister-in-laws, Belinda (Warren) Jones of New Castle, Steve (Kim) Fairchild of Salemburg, North Carolina and Gary (Traci) Fairchild of Chesterfield, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eddie was preceded in death by his father; father-in-law, Bob Fairchild in 2004; sister-in-law, Cindy Fairchild in 2004. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville. Brother Gene Bennett and Pastor Bill Palmer will officiate. Burial with military and fire department honors will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery, Spiceland. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the funeral home.
