Dublin – Earl Fredrick Fink, 95, passed peacefully in the early morning hours of September 6, 2026, at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville, Indiana where he had resided for the past ten years. Earl was born to Edward and Oleva G. (Schell) Fink in Cambridge City, Indiana on January 5, 1931. A proud graduate of Lincoln High School, he married Ellen R. Sheats on June 5, 1959. Together they welcomed two daughters into the world. Earl attended the Cambridge City Nazarene and later the Dublin Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist churches where he served as the Treasurer for both. He began working at an early age, working for Kinsinger Feed, McGrady’s Furniture, Dublin Elementary, NATCO, and Ivy Tech before retiring from Houston Manufacturing & Design.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Dale P. Fink and F. Nevin Smith; sister, Juanita L. Haynes; and grandson Robert M. French.
Survivors include his two daughters, Carol E. (Dennis) Pentecost, and Lois K. French; he is also survived by his grandchildren, Shannon N. Strother, Fred E. (Jami) French, and Joseph E. Pentecost (Christina Hopkins); he was also the proud great-grandfather of Brandon M. Sizemore, Logan R. French, Brylie A. Sizemore, Willow R. Pentecost, and Wesley W. Pentecost; he is also survived by his niece, Anita A. Donica and family; nephews, Danny L. Haynes, Christopher Fink, and James Fink; and his family of caregivers at Ambassador, and many cherished friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday September 10, 2026, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, Dublin, Indiana. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday September 9th.
