NEW CASTLE- Earl M. Brown Jr., 58, of New Castle, passed away on Saturday morning May 28, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. A son of the late Earl M. and Isabelle (Dishman) Brown, Earl was born in New Castle, Indiana on February 24, 1953. A lifelong New Castle resident, Earl graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School with the class of 1971. He worked in the building trades and was a self employed carpenter, specializing in home remodel and repair. Earl held a private pilots license and enjoyed flying out of the New Castle Airport. He also liked to play chess and fish. Survivors include 1 sister, Tonekka (Ron) Brown-Hall of Cicero; his former wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Brown of Muncie; 2 nieces, Marnye Hall and Embere Henningsen-Hall. Earl was preceded in death by his father on June 20, 2000 and his mother on March 27, 2005. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday June 2, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville. Rev. Marion L. Hickman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday June 1 at the funeral home.
