PERSHING-  Dwight Eugene Ingalls, 78, of Pershing, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Wednesday afternoon April 24, 2024.  A son of the late Wiliam Arthur and Martha (Mullen) Ingalls, Dwight was born in Richmond, Indiana on February 6, 1946.  Dwight was a lifelong resident of the Pershing/East Germantown community and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1965.  He worked as a fork-lift operator at Ford-Visteon and retired after thirty years of service. Dwight was a devoted Nazarene and attended churches in Cambridge City, Hagerstown and was a member of the Centerville Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid I.U. basketball fan and had been a coach and umpire at the Cambridge City Little League. Dwight enjoyed fishing, pontooning on Brookville Lake and cooking. He was well known for his hot chili and meatloaf.

Survivors include, 7 siblings, Nancy Sherwood of Cambridge City, Gary (Sharon) Ingalls and Mike (Debbie) Ingalls of Avon Park, FL, Marvin (Debbie) Ingalls of Muncie, Kathy (Tom) Hylton of Milton, Jerry (Terri) Ingalls of Lewisville, David (Cary Cox) Ingalls of Moab, UT; several nieces and nephews.

Dwight was preceded in death by 4 siblings, infant Ralph Ingalls, Betty Wissler-Feaselman, Joan McCord and Billy Ingalls; brother in-laws- Frank Sherwood, Herbie Johnson, George Feaselman, Bill Wissler and Ralph McCord.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday April 30, 2024 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.  Pastor Trevor Stanley will officiate.  Burial will follow at Zion's Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
