DUBLIN - Dorothy Louise (Henley) Wissler, 93, of Dublin passed away early Saturday morning, February 22, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Richmond. She was born in Dublin, Indiana on June 17, 1920 to John Eddy and Hazel Louise (Ohmit) Henley. Dorothy is a lifelong resident of Dublin and a 1938 graduate of Lincoln High School. She had a love for music and taught piano to over 250 students, played the piano and organ for over 40 years at the Friends Meeting in Dublin where she was a member. Dorothy also loved writing and published two poetry books entitled Journeys in 1993 and Reflections of My Journeys in 1998. Survivors include her children, Dennis L. (Rosa) Wissler of Cambridge City, Donna Jean (David) Amos of Connersville, Deanna Louise (Ed) Hauk of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Jon Dwight (Janelle) Wissler of Fort Myers, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren; brother, Keith (Beverly) Henley of Columbia City, Indiana. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; aunt Lora Ankrom; lifelong best friend, Edith Doll. Honoring Dorothy's wishes, she was laid to rest at South Lawn Cemetery, Dublin at a private burial with her family in attendance. A memorial service will be held at the Friends Meeting, 2352 W Maple Street, Dublin on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Pastors J. Annie Glen and Chris Sitler will officiate. In leiu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dublin Friends Meeting.
