SPICELAND - Dorothy L. Stover, 92, passed away Monday evening May 14, 2018 at Henry Community Health in New Castle, Indiana. A daughter of the late Leo Ernest and Thelma Irene (St. Clair) Schweikhardt, Dorothy was born in Spiceland, Indiana on June 10, 1925. Dorothy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working in her yard and spending time with her late husband Ralph, in his wood shop.

Survivors include 2 children, Kenneth D. (Jan) Stover of Spiceland and Virginia K. Adams of New Castle; 4 grandchildren, Gene Adams, Virginia L. Layton, Julie M. Brown and Katie J. Leeka; 2 great grandchildren, Landon and Lauren Leeka.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Stover on November 9, 2001. They were married in New Castle on December 21, 1943; her grandson in-law, Brian Layton; 1 brother, Richard Schweikhardt.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 3 p.m. on Friday May 18th at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
