RALEIGH - Donna Kay Burkman, 71, passed away at her home early Sunday morning November 18, 2018. A daughter of the late Floyd E. and Edna P. (Polston) Mullen, Donna was born in New Castle, Indiana on June 12, 1947. She was a graduate of Straughn High School with the class of 1965. Donna married Dale Burkman in New Castle on April 19, 1968. Formerly of New Castle and the Cambridge City communities, Donna has made her home near Raleigh for the past 40 years. She retired do to health reasons from the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis where she worked as a medical clerk and patient representative.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Dale Burkman; 2 children, Tania (Charles) Nolen of Knightstown and Shane (Valerie) Burkman of Sulphur Springs; 10 grandchildren; 3 siblings, Doug Mullen of Straughn, Judy Mullen of Raleigh and Lorna Howerton of Indianapolis; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by a grandson, Morgan; 3 brothers, Kenny, Richard and Bob.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Raleigh.
