Obituary

Dublin: Donald L. Linderman, 90, of Dublin, pass away on Wednesday May 25, 2011 at the Ambassador Health Care in Centerville,IN. The son of the late Lewis and Elsie (Brenner) Linderman, Donald was born on December 23, 1920 in rural Dublin, IN. Donald was a graduate of the Bentonville High School and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. While in the Air Corp Donald was stationed with the 30th Air Depot Group 430th ADG Platoon. Where he saw action in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns. Donald received a Silver Star, Bronze Star, European, African and Middle Eastern Campaign Medals. Donald retired from Natco as a painter with 40 years of service, was a member of the New Castle V.F.W. and attended the First United Methodist Church of Cambridge City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and coaching Little League Baseball in Dublin. Surviving relatives include wife; Flora Joeann (Golay) Linderman of Dublin; granddaughter, Jaimie Nicole Linderman and a great-granddaughter, Shayla Nicole Thompson. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Emery Linderman and infant, Jackie Lee Linderman; sister, Iva Whirley. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 28, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin. Rev. Ernie Howard will Officiate. Burial will be at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to the First United Methodist Church / 238 West Main St. Cambridge City IN 47327
