NEW LISBON - Donald Max McClain, 70, of New Lisbon passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Glen Oakes Nursing Home in New Castle. A son of the late Conrad Max "Connie" and Lucy (Coop) McClain, Donald was born on May 9, 1943 in New Castle. He attended grade school in Bentonville and graduated from Hagerstown High School with the class of 1963. A resident of the New Lisbon community for most of his life, Donald worked in construction until his early retirement due to health issues. Donald stayed close to home and enjoyed working with local farmers, antique tractors, and talking with farmers at local coffee shops. He was a member of Locust Grove Church of the Bretheren.

Survivors include his brother, Mark (Lisa) McClain of Cambridge City; nephews, Master Sergent Marcus Andrew McClain of Germany, Conner McClain of Cambridge City.

Family and friends can gather from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Tim Webb will officiate. Burial will follow at New Lisbon Cemetery.
