RICHMOND - Dieter M. Marker, 73, of Richmond passed away early Friday morning, November 27, 2015 at Reid Hospital. He was born in Furth, Germany on March 30, 1942 to Walter Marker and Irma Marie (Stoller) Green. Dieter immigrated to the United States as a teenager and made his home in the Cambridge City community for several years. He has lived in Richmond for the past 23 years. Dieter was a member of the Cambridge City Volunteer Fire Department and Local Plumbers Union 661. Survivors include his wife, the former Judith Maxel whom he married on February 26, 1964 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Cambridge City. Three sons, Walter (Shelley) Marker of New Castle, Joseph Marker, Michael Marker (companion Laura Maris) all of Richmond; grandchildren, Kristy (Sean) Cougill, Josh (Marilyn) Marker, Dotty Maris, Leslie Marker, Micheal Marker; great-grandson on the way, Jaiden Marion. Dieter was preceded in death by his parents and sister. To honor his wishes, there will be no service for Dieter. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
