In loving memory of Sharon Diane King, 67, of Dadeville, Alabama and formerly of
Cambridge City and Centerville Indiana. Diane passed away on June 8, 2026,
after an extended illness.
She is survived by a family who will forever cherish her memory: children, Russ
Fegan and Ryon Fegan; grandchildren, Sierra Fegan, Allison (Nolan) Geise, and
Austin Fegan; along with her great-granddaughter, Winslie Geise; mother,
Elizabeth Pruitt; stepmother, Peggy King; sister, Janet (Tim) Nelson; brothers,
Brett Pruitt, Ed King, and Craig (Cindy) Pruitt. She was a loving aunt to many
nieces and nephews. Diane also leaves behind an extended family of aunts and
many cousins. She had a large community of friends that she considered her
family as well. She was a proud member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in
Dadeville, Alabama.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Thomas King; stepfather, Jerry Pruitt;
sister, Julie King; brother, Jeff Pruitt; stepbrother, Rick Campbell.
She was a giving soul with a great passion for crafting, sewing, cooking, fishing,
rooting for the UK Wildcats, and a multitude of other hobbies. Diane never met a
stranger and was always ready for friendly conversation.
Graveside services will be held on August 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Crown Hill
Cemetery in Centerville, Indiana. Family and friends are invited to attend. After
the service, there will be a small gathering to reminisce and celebrate Diane.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist
Church (3464 AL-49, Dadeville, AL 36853) or the American Stroke Association.
