MODOC - Dennis Alan Swim, 61, unexpectedly passed away at his home Tuesday morning August 28, 2018. A son of Manzel C. and Juanita L. (Goble) Swim, Dennis was born in New Castle, Indiana on April 5, 1957. He grew up in the Milton community and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1975. Dennis enjoyed riding horses, taking care of his 20 acres and spending time at home with his family and grandkids. He worked as a truck driver and for the past 13 years was employed by ABF at their Dayton, Ohio terminal.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, the former Cindy Young. They were married in Richmond,Indiana on November 25, 1983; daughter, Ashley (Clint) Hall of Modoc; step son, Robert Centers of Nashville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Dylan Austin and Brooke Taylor Centers and Hayden Michael Hall; 3 sisters, Vicki (Prentice) Lowe of Cambridge City, Barbara White of Columbus, OH and Lisa (John) Jesso of Dayton, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Kelli Lowe.

Visitation for Dennis will be from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday September 1, 2018 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Cremation will follow.
