MILTON - Deborah "Debbie" Ann (Sheldon) Atkins, 62, of Milton passed away Monday afternoon, December 30, 2013 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. She was born on May 19, 1951 in Batesville to Bill and Pauline (Waechter) Sheldon. Debbie is a 1969 graduate of Connersville High School and earned her Associate Degree in Business from Indiana Business College. She worked at Visteon in Connersville for many years. Debbie took pride in cheering on her children and grandchildren in their many sporting events. She was a former board member and umpire of the Western Wayne Softball League and an avid pool shooter and bowler. Survivors include her husband, Terry Atkins whom she married on March 11, 2006 at their home in Milton; children, Randi Lynn Brown (Tom Robeson) of Richmond, Amber Leigh (John) Eblen of Cambridge City, Joshua Allen McCarty (Meleaha Lear) of Richmond; step-daughter, Anna Marie (David) Leyes of New Castle; grandchildren, Tyler Burke, Kayli Burke, Alexyce Eblen, Jaryn Eblen, Alivia Leyes; brothers and sisters, Judy (Dave) Ubel of Colorado, Sandie Roberts of Indianapolis, Linda Hindle of Kentucky, Karen (Ed) Wickes of Pershing, Rick (Lisa) Sheldon of Indianapolis, Dianne Bramer of Indianapolis, Mike (Tammy) Sheldon of Connersville. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Curtis Randall Brown in 1979; brother-in-law, George Hindle in 2010. Family and friends are invited to gather at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin on Saturday, January 4, 2013 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. to visit and share special memories of Debbie.
