CAMBRIDGE CITY- Daniel Gene Herr, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening July 11, 2020 at Henry Community Health in New Castle, Indiana.  A son of the late Robert L. and Pat (Bunch) Herr, Daniel was born on November 7, 1957 in New Castle, Indiana.  He was a graduate of Tri High School with the class of 1976.  Daniel lived most of his life in the Cambridge City community and was employed by Dollar General there.  He previously worked in the lab as a metallurgist for DuWell Corporation in Morristown.  Daniel was a vintage automobile admirer and collected Hot Wheels.  He enjoyed antiques and music.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father on May 1, 2014 and his mother on May 27, 2020.

Survivors include 3 siblings, John, Paul and Emily Herr; Daniel's partner, Brian Mathis; uncle, Herb Bunch and aunt, Carolyn Clifton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Following cremation at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, a celebration of Daniel's life will be held at a future date.
