NEW CASTLE- Cole Spencer Phelps, 15, passed away Thursday morning November 23, 2023 at his home in New Castle while surrounded by his loving family.  Cole was born in New Castle, Indiana on March 24, 2008.  He attended New Castle Middle School. Cole was always thoughtful of others and made the lives of the people who knew him better.  He had a lovely smile and you could always tell when he was up to no good.  He was one of a kind and will be deeply missed. Cole was baptized and attended Open Arms Church.

Survivors include his mother, Shannon Marie Campbell; his grandparents, whom which he lived, Kathy and Jim Campbell; 4 siblings, Claar (Jay) Lindon, Cassidi Phelps, Carli Phelps and Perry James "PJ" (Kelsey) McFarland; 3 nieces, Adaline and Ora Jo Lindon and Ripleigh Phelps; 2 nephews, Amir Phelps-Edley and Elias James McFarland; aunts and uncles, Robert and April Campbell, Kim and Carla Campbell, Denise and Britt Todd and Debbie Mathis; several cousins; great aunts and uncles; special second family- friends, Cindy Macky, Kyle and Karl Poynter, his teacher, Jill Leveredge, his barber, Kansas at the Platinum and Pat Chase.

Cole was preceded in death by his beloved father, Chadd Spencer Phelps; grandmother, Cynthia "Penny" Phelps; aunt, Sheliah Phelps; great grandparents, Ernest and Emily Phelps.

A Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday November 28, 2023 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Paul Davis will officiate.
