STRAUGHN- Clarence Bradley Stewart, 86, passed away at his home in Straughn, while surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday evening April 29, 2009. A son of the late Thomas Porter and Della Vie Brown Stewart, Clarence was born in Albany, Kentucky on July 31, 1922. He had lived in Lewisville before moving to Straughn many years ago. Clarence had worked at Swayne Robinson and Ford in Connersville and retired as a drywall finisher after working for Lee Pierce Drywall Construction, He was a member of the Straughn Community Chapel Church. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, the former Audrey Lee Shoopman, whom he wed on February 2, 1942. 9 children- Eugene (Carolyne) Stewart of Tennessee, Lucille Pierce of Florida, Betty Gosnell of Straughn, Janie (Jim) Siggers of Cambridge City, Brad Stewart of New Lisbon, Tommy Stewart of Cambridge City, Nancy Stewart of Tennessee, Rhonda Stewart of Kentucky and Robert Stewart of Straughn; 28 grandkids; 64 great grandkids; 19 great great grandkids. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Lewis Virgil Stewart. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday May 4, 2009 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville.
