Carthage: Charlotta Mae "Lottie" Rummel, 76, of Carthage, passed away Tuesday May 11, 2010 at the Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born on August 21, 1933 in Henry County, IN, the daughter of the late Herschel L. and Vera Nellie (Dishman) Hawk. Lottie has lived in the Carthage community since 1974, where she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, canning, camping and fishing. Surviving relatives include; husband of 57 years Charles Rummel of Carthage whom she married in Lewisville on June 2, 1952, 3 daughters; Vicki Toon (Jeff) of Manilla, Cathy Louise Rummel (fiance Tom Merkamp)of Economy and Cammy Theobald (Jeff) of New Castle. 3 sons; Jeff Rummel (Kathy) of Knightstown, Randy Rummel (fiance Linda) of Knightstown and Tim Rummel (companion Brenda Whichard) of Wilkinson, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, sister; Nancy Cole of Lewisville and brother Dale "Buck" Hawk (Carole) of New Castle. Preceded in death by parents, sister Helen Louise Hawk 1957 and grandson Justin Theobald May 8, 1983 Services will be Monday May 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Lewisville, Rev. Marion Hickman will officate the service burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday May 16, 2010 at the funeral home.
