ANDERSON- Charles Robert Nale, 83, went home to his Lord on Friday May 6, 2016. Formerly of Henry and Wayne counties, Charles has lived in Anderson for the past seven years. A son of the late Otto Harold and Olive (Dowling) Nale, Charles was born in South Boston (Washington County), Indiana on May 2, 1933. Charles was an Elder at the Centerville Church of Christ and worked as a truck driver for Pierce/ Hartley Auto Parts and retiring from Carter Express in Anderson after several years of service. Survivors include 2 children, Charles David (Kelly) Nale of Muncie and Rachel (Rick) Charles of Anderson; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Carolyn Coreton of New Albany; son in-law, John Jones of Anderson; several nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, the former Ella O. Rice. They were married on December 8, 1951 in Canton, Indiana. 1 daughter, Patty Jones on February 16, 2011; 1 son, Harold Nathan Nale on May 19, 1972; 2 sisters, Elsie Davis and Sharon Bentley; 2 brothers, Frank Nale and infant, Junior. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel- 115 West U.S. Hwy. 40/ Lewisville, IN 47352. Burial with graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Blue River Baptist Church Cemetery near Salem, Indiana. Brother Gary Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday May 9, 2016 at the funeral home.
