CONNERSVILLE - Charles "Shorty" Baker, Jr., 72, of Connersville passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at Fayette Regional Health System. Charles was born on May 17, 1940 in Henry County to Charles Baker, Sr. and Mary (Warrick) Baker. Formerly of New Castle, he has lived in Connersville for 41 years and retired from Visteon after 33 years of service. He married Wilma Longnecker on January 14, 1962 at the Cambridge City Church of the Nazarene. Charles enjoyed farming, hunting, trapping, fishing, and spending time with his family and four faithful companions, Buddy, Cindy Muffin, Heidi, and Missy. Survivors include his wife; four children, Thomas (Darla) Baker of Knightstown, Lisa (Nash) Scott of Cambridge City, Betty Blaes (James) Zeigler of Connersville, Bonnie (Howard, Sr.) McNally of Connersville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Baker on March 30, 1996; a grandson, Shaun Michael Blaes on July 7, 2008; and a brother, William Baker in March 1996. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Don Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery in Milton
